The bad news? Taxes are almost due. The good news? Some restaurants and retailers are trying to soften the blow with a few freebies and special savings. Thanks to this year's April 18 deadline -- so decreed because post offices are closed on Friday, April 15.

Most of the freebies are food related, which is surprising because doing income taxes is enough to make anyone nauseous.

Here's a quick rundown of the best tax-day freebies out there.

1. Cinnabon - April 18
